We recognised the advantages of folding cartons back in the 1950s: space-saving, environmentally friendly, lightweight and yet stable. The former wooden crate producer Wenner made a consistent change and decided in favour of the better alternative. To this day, we have become one of the most prominent packaging manufacturers in the northern centre of Germany. We produce exclusively on site and supply national and international companies in the food industry and related sectors from Versmold. As part of the HZI Group, we are part of a strong network and have access to high-quality raw materials in perfect availability. Being at the cutting edge has been extremely important to us for many years. We continuously invest in new technologies and ensure that they are used sustainably. We have state-of-the-art printing systems that we operate with low migration and are able to print solid board in large format with 6 colours + varnish in our production facility.

History
“Friedrich Wenner Versmolder Vollpappen-Verarbeitungswerk GmbH” is an owner-managed company which was founded in 1930 as “Friedrich Wenner Holzkistenfabrik”.
Our tradition is your advantage!
In the 1950s, production was switched from wooden crates to cardboard boxes.
At the end of the 1960s, production of folding boxes began with the help of the first automatic die-cutting machine.
The aim of producing exclusively high-quality cardboard boxes – mainly for food cartons – in top quality colour printing was successfully implemented.
Since the 1990s, the majority of the new items added to the range have been printed in high quality using the modern offset printing process.
